Discover the wonders of the Osa Peninsula in the South Pacific of Costa Rica, an area recognized by National Geographic as one of the most biologically intense places in the world. This tour offers an excellent alternative to Corcovado National Park, especially during the high season when park capacity is limited.
Osa Peninsula tour details
The expedition departs from Uvita Beach. The boat ride to the Osa Peninsula takes approximately 1 hour and 20 minutes, offering opportunities to spot marine wildlife such as dolphins or whales, depending on the season.
Upon arrival, your guide will provide a safety briefing and overview of the itinerary. The hike begins at the beach and leads into the rainforest. You will explore various trails within a private conservation area bordering Corcovado National Park. Along the way, it is possible to spot various bird species and mammals including monkeys, coatis, and raccoons—and perhaps even a tapir. The duration of the hike depends on the group’s size and physical ability, as the terrain includes inclines and uneven trails.
The tour concludes with a picnic-style lunch on a beautiful beach before we head back to Uvita, with an expected return time of around 3:00 PM.
