Discover one of the wonders of the South Pacific region of Costa Rica: the Nauyaca Waterfalls. While Costa Rica is home to many stunning waterfalls, the Nauyaca Waterfalls, located in the rainforest-covered mountains of the Southern Zone, are arguably the most spectacular. With two sets of falls measuring a combined 61 meters (200 feet) tall and a large natural pool perfect for swimming, they are truly a sight to see.
Our private hiking tour to Nauyaca waterfalls begins from the main park after registration at the offices. The route follows a scenic, shaded gravel road where you can observe birds and unique vegetation. The hike is 4 kilometers each way, with an intermediate level of difficulty and an approximate duration of 1 hour and 40 minutes.
Upon arriving at the waterfall entrance, there will be time to change clothes and use the restrooms before beginning the descent to the waterfall (a 300-meter drop with a moderate incline). Once at the waterfall, you will have approximately 1.5 hours to swim and take photographs. Afterward, we will hike back to the parking lot and proceed to a local restaurant for lunch.
