Bahia Aventuras Main OfficeBahia Aventuras is a Costa Rica Tour Operator, specializing in adventure tours, nature tours, boat tours, half day tours, full day tours and more.  The company is owned and operated by Walter Brenes, a local community leader and entrepreneur in Uvita, Bahia Ballena, near the Osa Peninsula.  Brenes started the tour company in 2007 with the help of friend and local Peace Corps volunteer Travis Bays. A year later, Brenes was able to expand by teaming with business partner Daljit Hundle. Together, sharing their love for education and conservation, the Bahia Aventuras Team has been able to expand to offer the most fun, friendly and safe service in the Uvita area.

LOCATION

map-costa-ballenaKnown for its beautiful coastline and fantastic mountain views, the beaches of Bahia Ballena and Playa Uvita are among the most stunning beaches on Costa Rica’s southern Pacific coast. Our offices are located at the footsteps to these beautiful beaches.  Our home office is located next to the elementary school “La Flor de Bahia” in Uvita Bahia Ballena.

Uvita is located roughly 16 km south of Dominical and 44 km north of Palmar Sur, in the southern Puntarenas province near the Osa Peninsula.

HOW TO ARRIVE

DRIVING FROM SAN JOSE

Those driving to Uvita from San Jose:

Option 1: Take the Inter-American highway to San Isidro de General and drive to Dominical. From Dominical take the paved Costanera Sur highway to reach Uvita. On average the trip takes 4 hours.

Option 2: Take the the newly paved Costanera Sur that passes through Jaco, Quepos and then Dominical to Uvita. On average the journey takes 4 hours.

*Private land transportation and shuttle services are available in the area.

FLYING FROM SAN JOSE

Those flying to the area from Juan Santamaria International Airport or Pavas Airport:

Option 1: Land in Quepos and take the newly paved Costanera Sur to Uvita. On average the journey takes 1 hour.

Option 2: Land in Palmar Sur and take the Costanera Sur and head north through Palmar Norte, Cortes, and Ojochal, until arriving to Uvita. On average the journey takes 45 minutes.
